Sunset on Lhotse during Everest Three Passes Trek

Terms & Conditions

bg-welcome

As a company committed to ethical business, we will do everything in our power to make your trek happen, keep you safe, and fulfill our complete duty. This page gets into the nitty gritty of booking with us, liability and hopefully answers some of the “What If?” questions you might have.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to postpone your trek for whatever reason, we will keep your 15% deposit indefinitely and work with you to coordinate a new plan.

If you need to cancel your trek for whatever reason, we will keep the deposit as a cancellation fee.

  • If you need to cancel after having already arrived in Kathmandu and paid for the remainder of your trek but not left yet, then we will refund your trek (minus the initial deposit fee and any costs that have already been incurred or are unavoidable such as permits, flight tickets or hotel cancellation fees).
  • If you have commenced on your trek and need to return due to illness, injury or any other unforeseen circumstances, we will arrange your safe return (either on our own or through your insurance company). We will not refund you for your trek (we will still pay our staff for the days that they were scheduled to work).
  • If you have commenced on your trek and need to return due to unforeseen external factors such as unfavorable weather, government actions, or natural disasters we cannot provide a refund but will do everything we can to provide an alternative such as touring a different region, providing other cultural experiences or discussing postponing.
  • We have absolutely zero tolerance for any kind of abuse towards our staff or business associates (such as tea house owners or drivers). We reserve the right to cancel your trek at any time as a result of any violent, aggressive or abusive behavior towards our staff, other guests or associates and you will not be refunded. Please be kind.

Liability

Upon booking your trek, you accept the risks associated with trekking. Although unlikely, you understand that injury, illness and even death could happen at any point while travelling, trekking or touring. We will do everything we can to keep you safe, but we are not responsible if unforeseen circumstances occur. We are not liable for any loss or damage to your property.

Travel in Nepal is incredibly unpredictable so please take this into consideration when making travel plans. Domestic flights are often cancelled and road travel can take much longer than expected. We are not responsible for any missed flights or fees incurred by any travel mishaps.

For example, we can’t be held responsible if your flight from Lukla to Kathmandu is delayed and you miss your international flight out of Kathmandu. We will do everything in our power to keep you on time but please account for the very real possibility of delays outside of our control. Plan your flights and travel dates accordingly and leave buffer days after your trek or tour instead of before.

Insurance

It is necessary that you arrange your own medical travel insurance with a reputable company that covers your whole trip before you come to Nepal. Please look closely at your policy to ensure it includes the activities that you plan to do. Your insurance plan will need to include high elevation trekking activities, specifically over 5000 m elevation if you are trekking that high. Double check that your insurance company will provide rescue services as low as 3000 m.

Be sure to include things like paragliding, motorbike driving, and bungee jumping if you would like to do those activities while in Nepal. We need to have your insurance information on file so that we can coordinate with your insurance company if an emergency arises.

Trek Change or Extension

We will handle changes to your trek on a case-by-case basis. If you would like to make changes to your itinerary then please just ask; it might be as simple as discussing with your guide along the way. If you are on your trek and would like to extend your stay, we would be happy to accommodate if circumstances allow (for example, if your guide is available for longer than originally scheduled).

If you are planning your trek and thinking you might want or need more time, then let us know as soon as possible. Any extra costs as a result of changes or extensions will be your responsibility.

Privacy Policy

We thank you for choosing us and respect your privacy and autonomy at all times. Any information that we collect from you is strictly for operational, statistical and/or marketing purposes and kept private within our company.

Throughout the booking process, we require some personal information including contact information, photos of your passport, and flight information. We keep this information private amongst our reliable team.

Once you’re in Kathmandu, your physical passport might be needed in order for us to obtain permits on your behalf. For certain permits, we are required to show the authorities your Nepali tourist visa that will be in your passport. We understand that it might be a bit scary to arrive in a foreign country and hand over your passport, however we want to assure you that we are private and careful at all times.

Media Privacy

While trekking there are often many photos and videos being taken of the scenery and the beautiful people enjoying it!

We would love it if we could use these photos and videos for our website and marketing purposes. Let us know if you do not wish to be included in any photos posted online, otherwise we will assume your acceptance. Please send us any photos you have after trekking or touring that you think could be useful for marketing purposes.

You can opt out at any time if you would not like any of your personal data used for statistical analysis or marketing within the company.

We are an honest and reliable company that is here to serve you. We want your entire journey to be as peaceful and enjoyable as possible.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding our Terms & Conditions or travelling to Nepal in general, we would be happy to chat with you directly.
